O'Reilly Auto Parts Machine Shop

Took a motor up there to have a bunch of work done to start they magnafluxed the heads and said they were cracked and not usable, when I got them back they had a surface Crack in a spot where it wouldn't matter and they said the heads were unusable. This ended up costing me 1500 dollars for a new set of heads. Moving on they cut the crank after I told them I just wanted it polished and it costed me and extra 500 dollars for bearings. Then I started assembling the motor they bored it .020 over and honed it, and every single piston ring was either at the maximum amount of gap or .001 over, on top of all this I didnt get all my hardware back. I'm missing a lifter guide, the bolt for it, and a bolt for one of the oil cooling jets this has got to be the worst work I've ever seen.

I took my heads for my truck to them to test after having low compression on 1 cylinder. They had them for over a month with me having to call every 3 days because they kept telling me they would check them tomorrow and call me back. Finally after over 30 days they tell me they checked the heads and every valve was bent and they would like to sell me new heads for over 1400$. Took the same heads to another shop and they said only 2 valves needed replaced. I highly recommend you take your parts elsewhere.

Although there cost of machine work has gone up since the last time I built an engine, I just had a 350 Chevy bored, decked, cleaned, and had new cam bearings and oil/freeze plugs installed. From what I've seen they do, and have always done for me at least, a great job. It all looks good and specs out as it should. I saw a few bad reviews, but since my machine shop options are very limited here in SEK, I took it to the local store and sent em off. Never had a problem with them at all and the work has always been spot on for all my performance engines I've built.

Do not bring your vehicle here to be worked on, you will regret it!! They are liars and thieves. And know, many of the good reviews are from new employees that they ask to leave reviews upon being hired. Apparently, they're clueless on how to run a company that actually cares about people to gain legit reviews. Sad company. Your unethical business practices will catch up to you one day.
