Payless Car Rental

If I could give zero stars I would. I got a rental car paid for the extra protection declined everything else, I paid for everything with my debt card. When I got to Avis to sign my paperwork for Payless, I stated that I didn’t need toll or anything extra but the protection. They put a hold on my credit card and stated I would get it back when I returned the car. When I returned the car. They charged my credit card for travel stating for tolls. When I called to speak with customer service they are very rude!! I was told it was in the contract. I told the man at the desk I didn’t need anything extra but the protection. The man I spoke on the phone with was so rude and refused to transfer me to a supervisor. He said the supervisor was going to tell me the same thing. I told him the toll box

Stay away I rented a car in Dallas for my niece's wedding and stayed in this awesome VRBO which has some animals on the property. Setting the stage, there was some hay in the driveway and so for the 5 days we were with the car, we must have tracked in some hay and grass. Dropping off the car everything went fine, I was charged the 334.00 and then 66.00 for tolls. Yesterday, I was charged 450.00 on my CC, 10 days later, I thought, surely this is a mistake or someone has stollen my cc. I made a call to the Payless customer service. Id like to rate it -5 When arrived I was told there weren't any vehicles available except a sixteen passenger van. Iwas told to "take that or nothing & come back later to trade." I attempted to call 16 times to confirm the vehicle availability, prior to driving 45 minutes to trade the van. I ended opening a complaint file because I couldn't get through to the DFW location. Antonio told me to either continue trying to call or go back to the airport. I decided to go back since I couldn't get through. I returned the van and was given an exchange form. Unfortunately, no one was working the Payless or Budget counter and everyone was in the Avis line. I asked was there a separate line for an exchange but was told no. I had hands down the best looking, most versatile, amazing vehicle on the road. My Coca-Cola red Silverado 4x4 had everyone taking a double look! Unexpected as I wasn't planning on having a great time while renting. Truck was clean, full tank. Tips: Easy pick-up and drop-off and their offer to fill the tank was cheaper than what you can get on the street. Get there early, there is a line and be willing to wait 45 minutes for pick-up. People complain about the wait but I ended up paying LESS than what I thought I would. Great experience all around. Do NOT do the refuel option unless you plan to use the entire tank of gas. They charge you for the full tank regardless of how much gas you use if you go over 74mph (which is something they “forgot”to mention). Bit of a scam - should just refuel yourself.
