Payless Car Rental

Terrible experience. Terrible manager. He was extremely rude to both my self and the front desk employee. When I calmly expressed my concerns about the space, the manager immediately became irritated with me. The front desk lady was very kind and professional, but the manager had an attitude from the moment I approached the counter. I told the front desk employee that I would not take the Telluride and simply needed to step aside to make a phone call. The manager apparently became upset and voided my reservation without my consent. Then he instructed the front desk employee to tell me that if I wanted a different vehicle, I would have to pay nearly double, and that I would not get my money back after he had already canceled the reservation. To make matters worse, my children and I waite

Great staff. But getting a car with 68, 000 plus miles, large hole in carpet, stained seats all over, poorly repaired front end damage...I'm feeling some kind of way. This is an embarrassment to Payless. Might need change name to "Get less" Because I sure got less than all other members of my team getting courtesy upgrades to chargers and mustangs, all had less than 3k miles, key fobs, remote start...Pay less gave me a mechanical key Corolla in awful shape. With 68000 miles, a hole in carpet, repaired front end damage.

The company charged unauthorized charges and would not correct their mistake. They also charged me $171 to extend my rental by 4 hours and wanted to charge another $171 when I asked to change the extension from 4 to 24 hours. AVIS/payless is more concerned with making a profit than customer service. I would not recommend them

I originally rented a vehicle through Budget Car Rental, but upon arrival, they didn’t have the car ready. They directed me to Avis, who provided a similar vehicle for roughly the same price. Everything seemed fine—until I dropped the car off and received a receipt from Payless Car Rental, a company I had never spoken to or authorized. Not only did they charge me almost double what I was quoted, but they also added vehicle coverage I explicitly declined. I use an Amex Reserve card, which includes rental coverage, and I also have full coverage through my personal insurance. This experience felt like a bait-and-switch. I highly recommend staying away from this company. Absolutely unacceptable and incredibly frustrating.

DO NOT EVER RENT HERE! This is the absolute worst rental experience I have ever had. The car we rented broke down leaving us stranded at a gas station in north Omaha. And not just a dead battery, but a completely blown transmission. The car had ~50k miles, which is fine, but they obviously do NOT maintain their cars well. Customer service was no help, with no reimbursement offered for rental costs or subsequent missed flights. Roadside assistance took 2 hours. This is unacceptable for a rental company!
