Despite some of the reviews, I opted to rent from here, and beyond thankful for that decision! The check in process was easy and straight forward, the customer service was excellent, the car itself was nearly brand new and one of the smoothest vehicles! The return process was easy, the location convenient. It couldn’t have been better!! Thanks to all those behind the scenes who work hard so us consumers have a nice vehicle for the trip.

Feels like a bait and switch... it's certainly not what we paid for here. We recently rented a car from Payless, and they offered us a Luxury Elite EV long range for a good deal, which seemed great because we had to drive about an hour or so west of Las Vegas and I wasn't sure if electric vehicle charging was readily available. The advertisement and rental agreement said it would be a Genesis G80E or equivalent... sounds good to me, book it! We've been looking at Genesis cars and SUVs recently, so "try before you buy" seemed like a good idea. Imagine my surprise when we got to the counter and they offered us a Tesla Model 3, or a Ford F150 Lightning. What? Jill - Wonderful lady at the counter - said that's all they had. They consider the F150 an equivalent to the Luxury Elite EV. Serio

The rental experience was great until I noticed a $222 charge on my credit card which they said was for insurance coverage, but I already paid an initial $84 insurance rental coverage through Booking.com. I had to call them twice to get the $222 charge refunded. The rental car itself was $248. I feel like I almost got scammed because of hidden insurance fees.

*****WATCH OUT FOR PAYLESS CAR RENTAL***** *****DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THESE SCAMMERS***** I returned the car in a timely manner, and then I get an e-mail from their billing department that they are charging me a $250.00 cleaning fee. When i returned the car it was clean, and the tank was full of gas. They didnn't send any proof of what needed to be cleaned. I'm reporting them to the BBB, CPB, and their Corporate office etc. In this economy where everything continues to get higher, and higher you would think they would want to attract customers. I used this car, because my sister was sick, and was given a few days to live. I quickly needed to rent a car, and took time off from work so i could be by her side to say goodbye. My heart was crushed whem i saw her in the hospital bed in the ICU

never ever rent from here…..scammers. i booked through expedia 9 hours before my arrival. was told my car wouldn’t be ready for another hour and had to oay more to updgrade if i wanted a car or wait (my flight was already late so i didn’t arrive early). I had no choice as it was already very late and wanted to see my dying father (hence the same day rental). aren’t told me 20.00 for the update per day, then when he printed the docs for me to sign it was 29.00 per day. after all of that, i returned the car at 5:00am when it was due at 10:30pm and was charged a late fee - they reported the car in after that. DO NOT USE THEM EVER. i wish i had read the reviews ahead of time……
