Penick Village

This place is a complete joke especially the nursing department. I feel bad for the people who love ones are in the skill or assisted living buildings. The management staff does not care for any of the residents especially the DIRECTOR OF NURSING who doesn’t even care enough to engage or talk with her staff. They are always short staff which means your loved one is not being cared for properly. I have proof of unsafe conditions not only for the residents but also the employees. I know for a fact many of the residents have suffered so much until they basically just pass away. They claim to raise the residents rates due to employees raises which was a complete lie. They always in Covid-19 outbreak status cause they do not follow the CDC guidelines or even their own policies to safe guard the

In the past year April 2023 the change in administration and new Director of Nursing has improved the staffing and the resident care both in Assisting Living and Skilled Nursing. I will continue to support the hard working staff and the Penick Village administration with C Cromartie and his team doing a great job making everyone feeling like family.

My wife and I moved into Penick at exactly the right time, when we were 75. I have been a widower for 3 years, And I realize every day how fortunate we were and how lucky I am to be living a full life in Penick Village and so close to Weymouth and to Southern Pines.

A wonderful place with an excellent staff and accommodations. My dad, who will soon be 95, has been there almost 7 years. He had roots as deep as you could get them in Ohio before moving here after he lost mom and most of his close friends. I cannot say enough great things about Penick Village.

Worst place in the world. The dining manager is an atheist. She’s mean abs a horrible person. The directors and senior staff are clueless. I will never let anyone I know live there. The food from the village house to the assisted living is very bad. All they care about is the village House. The residents in assisted living are treated horrible. It’s a horrible place !!!
