I Brought my vehicle in on 1/26/2026 to have a front Passenger side tire replaced. Less than a mile after I left, my Driverside Tire flew out from under my truck nearly hitting 2 vehicles. I called and spoke with Zach the Manager on Duty to let him know what happened and that I would be having the truck towed back to the shop. He tried to tell me that they didn't even work on that side of my Vehicle, and I told him that I drove my vehicle to him with no issues and that is no coincidence that this happened right after I left the shop. When the Tow truck driver was dropping my vehicle back off at the shop we discovered one of my Lugnuts from the Drivers side right outside the bay it was backed out of. The staff on shift Sunday January 18, 2026 saved me from a total melt down. I was driving through Alabama on my way home to Atlanta when alllll of my dash notifications started flashing and coming on. I was flabbergasted cause HOOOWWWW is this happening to me right now??!!!!! Made it to Pep Boys and was told they only had one mechanic. It would take time. I waited and they delivered!!! Thanks so much guys!!!! I appreciate you so much!!!

I've been very happy with this location, in particular, for over a decade or tire service, and occasional oil service... but the website it useless now (I know it's not their fault, but they should complain to corporate)... the "anti-bot" thing just catches me every time I try to look for service.

I would be wary and here is why. As someone with a former background doing auto mechanics, I brought my vehicle in because I simply lacked the time to perform the in-depth diagnostics myself. I paid $110 specifically for a professional-level diagnostic to find the root cause of the fault, not just to have the code read. I gave them the history which is essential for them to pay attention to for a logical deduction. First, the "diagnostic" was a joke. The team simply confirmed the code I already gave them and then immediately pivoted to an upsell on a brake job. While my rear brakes are indeed due, that's a simple maintenance item I was aware of. Lorena, Chris, and Zach are the best hands down great technicians. Great customer service. Honestly, the entire crew up here at Pep Boys in Trussville is amazing. I would highly recommend this place to anybody. Sometimes they may have a wait or they might be a little short staffed but that's not their fault and honestly is everywhere these days so be prepared to wait sometimes.
