Pep Boys Auto Service & Tires

I went to Pep Boys with my dad and we had a really great experience. Wonda and Brittney helped us so much from start to finish. They were extremely patient, explained everything clearly, and made sure we understood our options before making any decisions. We never felt rushed or pressured. They took their time with us and treated us with respect. Customer service like that is hard to find these days. Thank you, Wonda and Brittney, for going above and beyond. I don't typically write reviews, but today was frustrating. Just needed a simple oil change. Usually I'll go to a place on Yadkin that charges $65 and takes 30 minutes. Today, I went here because it's only 4 minutes from my house. And it cost me over two hours and $140... $140 ($160 before discount) for an oil change slower than I can do it is psychotic. I pay for convenience, but that's unreasonable. I appreciate the protective coverings, but leaving it in my car is also inconvenient. On the plus side, they did get me in for an appointment without calling ahead.

I was scheduled for a 8 o’clock appointment through the website. I did not leave the facility until 2 o’clock that afternoon. Highly unprofessional. As well as, when I asked the receptionist about a discount ;due to the fact it took 6 hours. She only replied by saying the 10% discount was the military discount and said that’s the only thing that we have. Even though , on Pep Boys’s website it has first responder and military discount. She denied them both and only mention the military discount is acceptable. As a first responder, i am highly disappointed with this company. As well as, highly unacceptable for the service. We had a wonderful experience here. We had an emergency repair and they were able to save the day. They squeezed us in and allowed us to get back on the road. Wanda is an absolute gem with incredible customer service.

Do not use Pep Boys. Their alignment is fishy. Walmart does a better job making sure you get your prorated warranty on expensive tires. We bought new General tires at 24,000 miles. Tires have been rotated. Odometer is 39,880. Front right kept wearing uneven. 50,000 mile warranty and we have driven 15,000 and Pep Boys says the give us $87. No thanks. We will stop buying all alignment and tires there.
