Pep Boys Auto Service & Tires

My husband bought my tires on line. He had them sent to Pep Boys on Fry Rd. My job has a lot of demands and I was concerned about when I was going to be able to have time to get them put on. I called and talked Jo Gonda. She was very nice and very patient with me about the different times I had available. As I’m sitting here now waiting for my vehicle, I am watching and listening to Jo with each of her customers, as they call and come in, she has the same beautiful personality with each and every one. She is a jewel!!

purchased 2 tires. I was there for 4 hours for 2 tires! The mechanic was just hanging out in my car. It was such a weird vibe. I asked why he was just sitting in my car having a conversation, I was told he was pulling my car out. He never did! After hanging in my car another 10 minutes he got out butI didn't bring my car out. The lady at the front desk stated one of my lug nut were stripped, but said she wasn't going to charge me for another one, lol. It took them over an hour to get another lug nut. That was ridiculous because this is a tire shop, they should have lug nuts! They rotated my old tires to the front and put the new ones on the back! Buyers Beware….. I scheduled an appointment for 8am , I arrived early (7:30am)thats just me. The young lady at the counter was very courteous and friendly . I explained my car was leaking coolant. My car was taken in around 9ish, I’m not sure of the time . Anyway , they looked under my hood and said I needed an upper and lower radiator hose replacement. Parts $499.47, labor $258.02 totaling $832. I paid $5.99 for parts, $34.00 labor,$4.00 other Tax.82 total of $44.81 to get my car & keys back. I got a 2nd opinion to discover both the hoses were fine but I had a leak in the radiator . Pep Boys is not thorough and efficient enough to be trusted with major car repair. They should refund for diagnosing car repairs incorrectly. Bottom line they are a Tire change only place . Get a 2nd opinio

The customer service here is amazing! I came in suspecting a valve stem leak and asked for it to be checked out. Darius did a thorough inspection of not only the valve stem but checked the whole tire super carefully. He was honest and ethical because he told me there were no leaks and the valve stem was perfect, and valued integrity more than making an unnecessary repair. Great job Darius! I plan to come back to get my other car a brake flush, since I trust this place now and it's a pretty good deal comparatively.
