Pep Boys Auto Service & Tires

I have tried this location a few times now and won't go back. The first time i went here after an hour of waiting iwas told they couldn't do the oil change on my car as they didn't have to correct tools to get to the drain plug. (VW) I decided to give the location a second try a year later. This time I wanted a managers special and tyre balance and rotation. As the car was being checked in the front desk guy went to get the milages and so on, on his return he said they wouldn't be able to to the Balance as the tires were beyond the wear limits and below 1mm of tread and I needed to change them immediately. When i turned down the sales pitch for tires the service became dismissive and a little Rude. I got home and checked the tyre depths my self and they were over 4mm But also tyre press

Omar at Pep Boys on Lake Mead Blvd in Las Vegas was professional, knowledgeable and so helpful. My vehicle was repaired in a timely manner even though I didn't have an appointment. Omar managed to turn my horrible day around and I left in a much better mood. I will be going back for future repairs. Thanks so much Omar!

I love this place! Location is central, the staff is phenomenal, especially Omar, he stays on top of the needs of my car. Makes great and reasonable recommendations. Car damage on top of a $900 battery replacement! I bought a battery in January for my 2007 Saturn Sky, and I’ve been having trouble starting it in the mornings. So naturally, I took it back to Pep Boys, since the battery was under warranty. They replaced the battery and charged me $45 installation, which was reasonable enough. However, after installing the new battery, it wouldn’t start at all! Then they told me I needed to pay $100 for a full diagnostics, to see what the real problem was. They admitted that they misdiagnosed the battery and determined it was the starter instead of the battery. The new estimate is now over $900! Since I was stuck, with a car that I could not drive home, I agreed to pay the estimate. When I return the next morning to pick it up, I noticed that they had

Great service and pricing! I had a full synthetic oil change and tire rotation. I just wish they could have replaced the air filters…but they said that it would be a longer wait because they had to order them and I was unable to wait.
