Pep Boys Auto Service & Tires

I had never been to Pep Boys in Orland Park, but the protective piece under my car was dragging the ground. I stopped in to see if the could secure it. It only took about 20 minutes, and they were texting me that my car was ready! The fact that it wasn’t expensive was a big plus. They were courteous, helpful and professional. I would recommend them for anyone!

Amazing service. Out of town and had an issue with my Odyssey. Pep Boys was able to diagnose and fix our car on a Sunday in just a few hours. Professional and polite throughout.

The service advisor was very good at explaining what needed to be done with my car and presented me with several options. He even found coupons to help reduce the cost. The work was done in a timely manner very pleased with the service.

They do really good for my oil changes & other stuff but I brought my car in this time because my engine light was on & my emissionstest was due. Code was reading for my catalytic converter.. they told me it was a solenoid that was messing up & causing the converter code to pop up. I paid over $600 for them to fix that only for the light to come back on 40mins later. I stopped at autozone on my way home & it was the SAME code! I took it to my brother who is a master mechanic who diagnosed it as the converter being the actual problem. I'm highly upset that I paid so much money only for the actual problem to NOT be fixed. I have 4 kids & don't make a lot of money so to pay soo much & still be in the same boat is frustrating.

I’m writing this review based on multiple visits to this place ,and no intention to get anyone in trouble,it’s just the experience as it happens . It seems that Mike the manager is in the wrong business,he just makes me feel like please go somewhere else We aren’t here to fix cars . Every single visit he says he’s short handed ,from the looks of things there’s more people behind the desk than mechanics!!!!! And what is my fault if the system accepts my appointments and then when I go ,I sit there over 4-5 hours Only to tell me we don’t mess with this you need to go to dealer . Pepboys been in the business for years and this is what u come up with ?? Mike has no idea what customer service means ,not that he’s mean but his body language tells the story I wasn’t born yesterday at 65 yo I know
