Pep Boys Auto Service & Tires

Absolutely horrible. Totally disrespectful and shitty. My car needed tie rods and alignment and suddenly I need wheel bearings, apparently. Brought it in at 830 Monday per manager. Tech was not onsite and I was told to come back at 1030. I did. 45 minutes later, they take it in. I am waiting onsite. 600 they say they can't fix it. I leave it, Tuesday they lied to me and said it would be ready at 1pm. I called at 3, come at 630-645 i am told. I get there at 630, not ready. I had to wait until 8pm before they give my keys and said all set. They close up, I go to leave and all of the icons on the dashboard are lit up and my speedometer doesn't work. Thursday around 5 pm I brought my car here to purchase 4 americian tourer tires with a 15% discount when I arrived I was told that they could honor the price online. With a total of 367.47 not including the price of installation which from checking online should have been around $400-$500 for the price of the tires I went inside and then I was told there are only 3 tires and I would have to wait til Friday for the aother tire to come in. I did advise them that there was a wedding that I had to attend on Friday Saturday for the other one to come in. The technician said I needed a ball joint on the front passenger I asked if I could just keep the car there and I will come back when everything was complete so I do not have to go back and fourth. I went into Pep Boys on Sunday for a brake flush and a tire patch. Before I left the car, I specifically asked whether they had the proper software to run and cycle the ABS module. I was told yes. They said it would take about 3 hours, so I took an Uber home. Later that night they called and said the brakes “felt fine.” I explained—again—that the pedal goes to the floor only during slow braking, and works during a quick stop. That’s when the tech admitted they did NOT actually have the proper software or tools, even though they told me they did. He said another technician on Monday would handle it. I have been scrambling to find new, reliable tires in my price range and the staff at Raynham went above and beyond! They took their time to quote me out for multiple tires and compare prices/warranties before i even stepped in the building. I called around 11 am yesterday morning, found tires that werent in stock and they had those tires delivered to their shop by 1 the same day. As a woman, i hate going to repair shops because i am constantly being told my car needs a million small repairs, even though my car is new and is working just fine. There was no pressure at Pepboys!! No hassling to convince me to get the most expensive tire (like every other local tire place) just honesty and some great suggestions on why it’s worth the $$ to spend a little extra on middle grade tires rather tha
