Pep Boys Auto Service & Tires

Today 02/23/26. I took my 4runner in for an oil change and check up. I arrived at my appointment time. Staff welcomed me and took my car right in. I was told the amount it was going to cost me. I went to the nearby Panera and just as they promised my 4 runner was ready!! I've come to appreciate the service here.On time and right price!! Thank you Pep Boys for the comfty new chairs!! And reps at the counter who are right on the ball and the service Techs who do excellent work!! Since coming yo Santee I have taken my 4 runner in for a major brake job and for my regularly scheduled maintenence. Very satisfied and highly recommend this Pep Boys to anyone needing service. I feel strongly that I can trust This Pep Boys to do honest thorough work.When you go just tell the Reps that Le Critique

Everything went smooth just like the last time I was there. Great price great service and The manager Gabriel is awesome and Ernesto did a fantastic job. I will definitely be back until all my friends and family.

Great service and awesome team! Had a really good experience at Pep Boys. James and Gabriel were super helpful and made everything easy from start to finish. They explained what was going on with my car, got things done quick, and kept it real — no pressure or upselling, just honest service. Definitely appreciate the professionalism and good vibes. Took 3 hours for an oil change with an appointment after I placed an appointment on Monday and was told they were overbooked. I asked when I could come back when the could provide service within a reasonable time and I was given an appointment for the next day. I arrived on time and the it took 3 hours for an oil change. I had a daytime running light out and asked for that to be fixed. They said they fixed it, but it still doesn't work. They recommended a change in the the air filter, but didn't change it because they didn't have one. Terrible service.

Wish i would’ve read these reviews prior to my visit! Don’t bother getting an appointment. There is absolutely zero benefit to booking an appointment. I arrived at my booked appointment time for an oil change and let the staff know i planned to wait for my car. My car wasn’t touched until 3 hours after my appointment time. Pep boys needs to improve their system. If someone has an appointment they should take priority over walk ins. Is that not the entire point of booking appointments? Allowing the shop to forecast what their planned work load is for the day. I will not be coming back to pep boys. Additionally, i just noticed that they failed to put my tire air valve caps back on. This place is a mess!! *****1 week later update***** No changes. No resolution.
