Pep Boys Auto Service & Tires

My starter went while I was parked at Aldis. They were willing to walk over from their shop to my car at Aldis and test the battery and starter. They worked in a timely fashion and were very adimant about keeping me informed and updated. They completed the work the next day since this happened close to closing time. It was done quickly and was cost efficient. I couldn't be happier with the professional manner in which they alieviated my concerns. I would recommend Pep Boys to anyone who needs service work done on their vehicles.

Tony and Chris took great care of me. Fast, professional, courteous, and a much lower price than the last place I used. I felt bad calling so close to their closing time but they took the best care of me, and still got to go home on time. They've earned my repeat business, and I get monthly oil changes due to the mileage I put on my car for work.

Needed 4 new tires because of the snow that was coming in. Found a good set online, a little pricey but was able to open a cc & as long as i pay it off in 6 months no interest. So that was a plus, booked appt online & when i showed up the guy at the counter was very helpful. Service took almost 2 hours which i thought was a little long for tires but i am also not a mechanic. Overall very happy with the tires, & customer service!

Tony and Darren provided us with the absolute best service. We popped a tire when we hit a pothole (81, am I right?). We called Pep Boys to see if they had the tire we needed. They did and they were ready and waiting for us when the tow truck took us there. We got things fixed and we're back on the road right away. Thanks Tony and Darren!

DO NOT RECCOMEND - MARCH 2026 Went for a fluid change, brought my own coolant and wiper fluid. Pep boys took both [despite them saying bringing our own fluid gives no discount???] and then gave our car their coolant, despite explicitly saying that wouldn't happen - we bought purple, our car has orange! In a car with troubles, I need fewer complications, not more! Thank you Dickson City Pep Boys for showing the incompetence and underhanded tactics of your chain! EDIT: Removing one star after talking with customer service. Shameless scammers. Performed only a fluid exchange when we requested a system flush. Either through negligence or malice (we did not ask/pay for diagnostics) did not inform us of failed pump and leaks, possibly made said problems worse. Pepboys would not issue a refund
