Pep Boys Auto Service & Tires

I would give zero stars if possible. I went in today and all the bays were empty and everyone was in the "office" looking at their phones. I asked if they could rotate my tires and before I could even finish they started telling me "it will be awhile, oh our lifts aren't working," and finally " your tires are too worn out to rotate! my tires are NEW Michelins that were installed at a dealership with alignment 6 months ago and have less than 5000 miles on them. When I called them later and said I needed a set of tires for a 1500 Chevy pickup they said sure come on over we will get right on it. I plan to tell everyone I know about this!

ZERO STARS. Had my battery and alternator tested BEFORE I brought my vehicle in to this Pep Boys. The battery tested fine but the alternator was struggling. I asked Pep Boys to check the alternator. They called me back and told me my battery (that's less than a year old) was "shot". I asked about the alternator and he said no you have to replace the battery first before we can look at the alternator. I asked how much for the battery and they told me $509 dollars. STRAIGHT SCAM. I told them no I will come and get it. I was charged $110 to pick up my vehicle for a diagnostic fee. So to recap, did nothing, didn't test anything except the battery, and charged me a $110. This is a total scam shop. I will make sure I let everyone know not to go anywhere near this business.

Walked in at 7:50 am. Traveling and experienced a blow out after striking an object in road. Spare was different size than tires on vehicle. Service agent searched and found a tire that would fit our rim. Technician assigned for work and we were out at 8:40 am and back on the road. Thank you Pep Boys!

Took over 4 hours to get 4 new tires put on and an alignment done ! Ridiculous and they had the older man doing our car and 3 others sat around up front talking. If they had nothing to do then they should of all jumped on my car and got us out of here sooner .

I like Pep Boys because of their service, their expertise and the ability to address most concerns. They have great customer service and quality parts. I really love the lifetime pads they offer which is why I took a coupon and bought my rear axel pads. I hope I get a good paycheck soon so I can change out the front ones soon. Thanks Pep Boys for all your help. Now I can travel out-of town with less worries now.
