Paul is awesome! Was just passing through Haines on my way to Homer. The dealership in Juneau quoted me close to $2000 for a power steering problem. They wanted to replace the pump and the rack and pinion due to a “leak”. Brought it here for a second opinion. Paul took one look and pretty quickly determined it was just a belt that needed replacing. The whole thing took less than an hour and he charged me $50. Got to chat with him too while he worked and he’s not only a good mechanic but a genuine and friendly guy too

My Winnebago had a hydraulic line give out on the automatic leveler system. The guys looked it over, found parts in multiple places in Haines, AK...not easy to do...and had me all fixed up in a couple hours. I can never say thank you enough for their above and beyond attitude and extremely friendly personalities.

We came to Haines for a short stay and had a screw in our tire. As we were already using the spare tire and had to travel around 800 miles more to our final destination, we were looking for a repair shop which could help us. Our hotel suggested Peters Tire & Auto and after a short search on Google we were on our way. The guys from Peters Tire & Auto were very friendly and repaired our tire immediately. After 20 minutes we had our tire ready to go for a very good price. If you are in Haines and need some help with your car. This is the place where you find it!

Traveling with camper trailer from out of state and needed a radiator hose and fitting changed on my 2014 Ram 2500 diesel. Peters Tire & Auto was recommended to me by another camper. I was able to obtain the part from local parts store. I dropped into Peters about 10:30 am on a Monday morning with part in hand and asked if they could install the new parts. They said no problem. They had a job to complete before they could get to me. Left truck and went 2 blocks back to the campground. An hour and a half later they called me and said the job was complete. Fantastic service and a great price, especially being an emergency repair. Highly recommend Peters Tire & Auto.

We had a flat headed north out of Haines and had to turn back. Despite being busy with other work Peter took the time to see if our tire was repairable, then gave advice on the best way to ship a replacement up from Juneau. The tire arrived before opening time the next morning and he went out of his way to help us get back on the road on time.
