I bought a truck from Philips auto last year in July of 2024. I saw the truck by their service center before it even hit the sales lot. I told very interested in it and applied for the loan on the truck and was approved. They cleaned the vehicle and sent me on my way. A few days later I took it back and told them it was making a bad growling noise from the reared. A couple weeks later they got the truck in and sure enough all the bearings in the reared were shot. Philips agreed to fix the issue because I argued the fact that had they driven and inspected the vehicle before selling it they would have fixed it. Bought a vehicle here late August. Came in, test drove, got papers done. Got told we needed to pick up next day due to the inspection not being done and it needing a battery. A little surprising to us. Mind you our-salesman disclosed other people had already looked at/ applied for this vehicle. Next day comes, i go pick up the vehicle that was supposed to have been inspected. I load myself and daughter and get ready to drive 2 hours to deliver vehicle to husband. Well, not even 20 minutes down the road the check engine light begins FLASHING. I am thinking to myself… what have i done. I call my husband frantically as i have my 1 year old and it’s 100° outside.
