Took my 2009 mercury in because the blend door was stuck in heat mode, after a little bait and switch with the diagnostic. Was told 149.99 but when I got there shop supplies and other fees added another 37.00. Then I was told they needed me to authorize an evacuation and recharge in case they needed to do it to check the AC. Didn't think that Would be a problem because it was blowing ice cold air before the door stuck. I got a call from them the next day saying the refrigerant was low so they did the recharge, 195 plus refrigerant, then couldn't find anything wrong with the system.. Then they proceeded to tell me the blend door had broken off from the actuator and the part was unavailable. We were traveling from Florida to Minnesota when our brakes locked up on the interstate. Jumped on Google for the closest garage and found Phoenix Auto Repair. We were able to limp ourselves there. Flew out to buy a rust free 02 Chevy s-10 from Minnesota. After flight delays and other trip encounters. Met with the seller @ 1:00AM and just bought the truck.
