Plains Towing and Recovery

SCAM, PREDATORY BUSINESS, OVERCHARGED AFTER AGREED PRICE. Agreed $1600. Tried $4000, I paid $2900. But this will not end like this. They said I gave "Wrong location" so no worries it's jus $750 per hour. I had a problem at the scale in Sundance, Wyoming. I was overweight on the tandem axles on my flatbed trailer, so I called Plains Towing & Recovery to help me move the load a few feet. Around 4 PM, I called their dispatch center, and they told me they could be there in 45 minutes. They said the minimum charge is $1,600 for two hours, plus a 4% fee, and I agreed. I asked if fuel was included, and they said yes. After two hours, their towing team arrived and claimed I gave them the wrong address and that they had to drive an extra 100 miles, even though they were only 4 miles away. That was

He was timely in arriving, concerned about our well being, professional in handling our vehicle during loading/unloading and in transporting to service site in Rapid City. His services and demeanor were top notch and our comfort and well being was an obvious high priority for him. We would readily recommend the services he provided should the need arise for you. I'm stuck on the side of I-90 west of Sundance, within sight of the Plains Towing location that Google is giving me, but they want to charge me $300/hr to send someone from SD. Seriously, guys, if you serve an area then price from that area. I just need to be pulled back on the pavement.

Our 5th wheel trailer broke down at the Mt Rushmore Pslmer Gulch KOA on the 4th ofJuly weekend. There is no cell phone or WiFi coverage. So, communications were very difficult. When we finally got arrangements made, a crew from Plains Towing rescued us. They were fantastic! They knew just what to do, and got the trailer ready to be towed to Rapid City. They quite literally saved our vacation. Thank you!!

Professional, safety minded, personable, they hooked on to my 379 and towed me to the shop when it was below zero. Not a glitch. I don’t have a complaint one and that’s unusual for me.
