Point Loma Smog

Went for a smog on my mustang. Was told it did not pass due to intake mod even though I have the carb sticker for it. The smog tech couldnt find the carb number because he didnt know how to navigate the CARB website that is public access. Went home found the carb number and PDF in 30 secs. Went back and was told to go somewhere else because they didnt want to remedy the issue. Recommend taking your business elsewhere. If the tech does not have the technical ability to navigate a website for anyone who has a carb sticker for their car.

I never had an issue with this star station until today. My vehicle passed all of the emissions testing, but the timing was off, and the idle was low. For that, the owner failed me and is charging $40 for a retest. I will be reporting this business and never return. This guy just lost a valuable customer. Smog your vehicles here at your own risk!!!! Such poor business!!!! The owner was also helping another gentleman and would only honor the posted price if the gentleman removed his own engine cover!! WHAT?!!!!!

The service was great, quick, and cheap. The owner was nice and friendly. I was able to get a smog check done quick and painless (20min), no appointment necessary. Will definitely return in the future.

Today was the third time that I have smog tested my vehicles there. He has always been great with limited wait times. This year was the first year I had to worry about covid and I was looking for some sort of touchless experience. This worked out better than I could have imagined. I pulled up to the edge of the bay door and got out of my car. He was masked and gloved up and did not need to move my car further in. The whole test was completed with a very minimal lean inside the car with the door open and windows down the whole time. Then, to top it off, for checkout he was behind a fully enclosed plexi window. I handed my card through the slot that he opened which he then closed. Then he opened it one last time and gave me my card back (no need to sign anything) and the paperwork.
