Pope-Davis Tire & Automotive - Columbia

So the problem started at another shop that wrecked my brakes. I had to tow my truck to the shop. Eric at Pope-Davis had difficulty at first but stayed with the problem. He ultimately got to the bottom of it. He even rebuilt the brake booster and saved me $1000. Thomas kept me well informed the whole time. The availability of high quality caring personnel was impressive and comforting. Given I was passing through it was very important I get my truck up and running. Its now been 4 days and 1000 miles since I left the shop. The brakes are working perfectly. My only regret is I can't have Pope Davis do all my work. Thank you guys. You are the best!!! John

This place is the best! I got a nail in my tire the day before thanksgiving and called to see if they were open and thankfully they were. Thomas greeted me right away and immediately took my car to the back. He prepared me for the worst but thankfully all the tire needed was a patch. Thomas’s level of professionalism was top tier and he was so kind. Being a young girl, I get nervous going to auto body shops but Thomas and his team were incredibly respectful and did over charge me at all. Pope Davis is the only place I will go for future car issues. Highly recommend!

Edit/Update: After leaving this review here and in several places, Pope Davis did in fact reach out and sent me a check to cover the full expenses at the dealership (the cost of the diagnostic fee and the repair itself). Their theory is that the sensor must have been replaced during a tire change in 2022 but was not registered in their computer. Honestly, I don't know or really care what happened. I appreciate that they took responsibility and covered the expenses in the end. My recent experience with Pope Davis was extremely frustrating, disappointing, and left me questioning the shop's integrity much less their quality or any desire to stand by that quality. I was in town for a week and hadn't had a chance to schedule an oil change with my regular mechanic before leaving. I also didn't know how long it would take to get an appointment upon my return so I asked my brother if he thought his mechanic would be able to work me in during the week. He checked and they did. I dropped my car off on Monday night and it was ready about 10am on Tuesday. I don't usually have different folk work on my car but because family members had had repairs done here, I felt comfortable going there. I appreciate the prompt and courteous service provided.

Staff was very helpful in offering tires at different price points and helping me decide on the best set for my needs. Installation happened the next day while I waited. Very happy with the purchase.
