I brought my car to Protech for an inspection at the recommendation of a family member The shop was clean, the staff was friendly, communication was great, and they even tidied up my car a bit, all of which I appreciated. My car passed inspection, but they provided me with a list of issues they said needed attention. These included chips in the windshield that have been there for years, an oil change that was coming due, and the condition of my engine and cabin air filters. I had already purchased replacement filters online for $20 but hadn’t had a chance to install them yet. Out of curiosity, I checked what Protech would charge to replace the air filters... $80 each. Honesty & integrity! Our vehicle has been serviced exclusively at the local Lexus dealer. During the last service, the dealership provided a laundry list of items requiring attention to the tune of several thousand dollars. Rear brakes were one. Service Advisor told us that the brakes were 3mm, dangerously low, and required immediate replacement. Made an appointment at Protech for a second opinion. Protech performed a complete vehicle inspection with documentation & photographs. Ironically, none of the work the dealership suggested was needed, including the brakes. There are all kinds Of business approaches out there when looking for an auto shop, and it’s difficult to find one you can comfortably call without hesitation. I will feel very comfortable calling ProTech back I’ve found it hard to find one shop that balances everything right. Usually it’s either a wham bam thank you Service, or a high pressure sales service. The Pro tech team are down to earth yet very professional, I experienced and appreciated both qualities. I decided to switch over to Protech after many frustrating visits with BMW Newport. This was probably the best decision I could’ve made. These guys are as responsive and detail oriented as anyone could possibly be. They’re fast when it comes to diagnostics and they do their best to make sure your visits work with your schedule. They even offered a loaner vehicle when my car was waiting for a part to arrive. The overall experience was seamless and exceeded my expectations. All of this and the prices are pretty reasonable, all things considered. I’m very grateful to have stumbled upon this little gem of a shop.
