Randolph Racing LLC

This guy, Kevin, I've met after dealing with a few horrible shops that made you feel like you got had. I've brought my car to him for two major services and I was never disappointed. He has a passion for the Porsche brand, and I'm an enthusiast. His shop is a museum of classic, beautiful, driven cars. No garage queens, racers, classics Porsche cars he takes his time and pays attention to every detail. I have known this man for five years, and I know he's the best around for Pcars, point blank period.

Kevin at Randolph Racing turned what started as a nightmare repair experience at another shop into the best thing that ever happened to my '83 911 Cabriolet. I've owned my car for 17 years and sorted and maintained it myself during that time. In April of 2024, as I was prepping the car for a new season of driving, I had a huge backfire - the kiss of death for Bosch CIS (injection system). My engine and CIS were basically all stock - no pop off valve in the airbox, no hydraulic chain tensioners, etc. I drove 100K of the 190K miles on the odometer and had never had a backfire. This one took out the airbox. I was just starting a new job and with the summer driving season rapidly approaching, I decided to have a local and respected shop repair the airbox. After seven months, I still did not h

I brought my 911 to Kevin for a second opinion after I was told I need to replace my entire engine. Kevin was super thoughtful and thorough in his review of my car and helped diagnose the issue, replace surrounding parts while the engine was out and left me with a car thats exponentially better than what I brought in.

I had a very positive experience working with Kevin at Randolph Racing. He offered to pick up my car in Winthrop, which was very convenient for me, and he did not charge me for the time it took him to make the trip. From the beginning he was very honest and straightforward about what my car needed that was important vs urgent vs for the future. He focused on the things that mattered to me and not on the things that didn't, which I appreciate. In addition, there were some things I wanted done on my 911 that he did not specifically offer at his shop, yet he went out of his way to find the right person to do the job correctly and boy was it done right. From mechanical to cosmetic repairs, Kevin did it all and he was very fair with his price. That, and my car was stored indoors at all times.

I had Kevin analyze and diagnose engine problems with my 1981 911 SC over 10 years ago. The adjustments he made to the fuel injection system permanently solved what had previously required annual adjustments from the Porsche dealer I bought the car from. This car was new when I bought it and is not my daily drive. It has 68,000 miles on it after 41 years of enjoyable weekend jaunts. I feel Kevin knows more about air cooled Porsches than anyone I have had work on my car.
