Rene's Auto Smog & vehicle safety Inspection

Took my car for a brake and lamp inspection to Renes Safety Inspection. And was told I have to pay $180 if it pass. That's not a problem. But if it fails I still have to pay $180. That just does not sit well. I've replaced all the things the car needs for this inspection and already I'm being told the rotors need to be replaced. I already did that. Do not come to this place. They will take anyone's money and you won't get the certificate you need.

Came here for a brake and light systems check and the guys here are very nice and efficient. Took about 30 minutes and was $200. They'll upload your certificate online and give you a physical copy too. Honest and no upselling. No appointments, just walk-ins so it was sort of busy when I got there around 11 am. Early in the morning is least busy. Whenever I called them, they picked up in two rings or less. The payment was through Zelle as there is a credit card fee. Heads up that they share a garage with a Transmission Service so look for the yellow building that says "Auto Service & Tire Transmission." You should just be able to pull up in their driveway and someone will come help you. No waiting room or anything, but they'll pull up a folding chair for you to sit on.

Kevin took good care of me, he was very clear about what the process looks like from beginning to end, and is a cool guy in general. It was $65 which is reasonable, can recommend this place for anyone else.

Dad's 2001 Honda Odessey had this huge headache between vechile safety inspection and safety recall. Shop owner gave us a break due to our recall notice taking a while to be approved between Goudy Honda and NHTSA. Told us to come back whenever NHTSA approves Dad's car safety recall. Would support this business again and recommend to others.
