Rent-A-Wreck of the Black Hills

I would never recommend this company. I called them when planning a trip to SD. Jasmine gave me a price of $197. for the week. I was skeptical considering what everyone else was charging. She did a three way call with Black Hills Car Rental in Rapid City, we spoke with Jon and he was completely up front in telling me (and Jasmine) that there was no way he could give me that price. He proceeded to give me a price I thought was reasonable and Jasmine got off the call. Jon and I completed my reservation. Jon explained to me that they never should have quoted me that price in the first place. To make matters worse, after I reserved the car with Jon, I then get a confirmation from Rent a Wreck confirming the reservation for $197. I called Jon to let him know, then I called Jasmine and requested

Me and my husband use this place quite often. I've never had a problem always clean decent great looking running cars and I recommend.

We had a last minute vacation and these guys were very affordable and accommodating. Our flight was early morning and late evening, and we worked out a solution to get the car while they were closed from the airport. John was a pretty stern person, but i like to have people tell me the answers to my question without the fluff, so I preferred working with him.

I highly recommend this business for rentals the employees there are super friendly, very professional. The rental process is extremely easy and the price is amazing they'll pick you up (within a reasonable distance) and drop you off if you return the car, the car was very clean, ran great. being a truck driver I rent cars alot to sight see and I'll for sure use this business again. Thank you again for an amazing experience.

We have rented from this place for awhile now...due to covid-19 we had to move houses and it's hard to change our address to a new one. I talked john the general manager and he was completely rude to my mother, and to myself. He said it's not his problem and also said to my mother when she asked why he was so rude to her. He blankly said "well you haven't seen mean yet lady" I had called today and I was informed I was put into the no rent list and I asked why and one of the employee says I can't figure out why he did that but he said "john does what he does and that's how it goes, I'm sorry man". I ask to speak to John and I asked why john put me on there and I tried to explain the situation to him but he didn't seem to care and that he got his address changed. Well I didn't ask for that..
