Gee, some of these reviews astound me. I've never had anything but helpful, courteous, efficiency in the years I've done business with Richards Auto. There have been a few hiccups but people are human, and sometimes mistakes happen. They've always made thing right and my old car is still in the game. I give them all the credit.

Went in for an oil change at 9 am, finally at 2 pm I called and my car was ready, no courtesy call, then::: my wife takes the car, she heads down one street, while I pay my bill, she calls me the car engine keeps dying and left her stranded. Turns out the mechanic left the 3 inch diam. Hose For the air filter to the carburetor disconnected. When we got home I called the shop and the person that answered said "we were very busy"! Sorry that's no excuse, Richard, I was very disappointed after you were so Highly recommend!!!

They helped me out pretty quickly and accepted me as a walk-in. I used to go to Pep Boys, but now I want to go here because of the great service. Prices were cheap, and they fixed my O2 tank and vaccum quick. This was a good mechanic. They were friendly and professional too. Richard kind of has a rude tone towards me for some reason. Not sure what the problem is. Maybe because I’m “uneducated” in the field of automotive maintenance. So?

would genuinely leave a 0 star. As some of the previous reviews have stated, people take in their cars and drive off with it needing more work. Exactly my case. I was told by word of mouth & my in laws that this mechanic shop is honest & has good reputation. Incorrect. Took my car in Friday, was charged $930 for a $80 part (5hr labor for a part that should take at most 2hrs) and drove off with more issues that could've caused my car to catch on fire. Was also told I needed new brakes all around which was also incorrect. Total would've had to spend over $3000. Luckily I took it to another shop in which they confirmed my breaks only needed lubricant & will be getting all else fixed that was messed up at richards. Used Richard’s based on good online reviews. First repair was ok, but second time using them our car’s problem was not corrected. Expensive and not responsive when you return to get the original problem fixed. They keep your car longer than promised and still problems not fixed. No waiting room and appointment times not honored. Very frustrated with Richard’s and ended up going to the car dealer after Richard’s failed to fix problems while charging premium price. Don’t use them if you value your car and your time and don’t have money to waste!
