Rick's Pit Stop

My car broke down in my yard with a dead battery. James went above and beyond to make sure it got taken care of the same day and at a great price. I cannot say enough good things about him or the business. Highly recommend!!

Went to get my oil changed here after having a bad repair experience at my usual place. Both the guys at Rick’s were friendly and honest, brought me back to show me a leak on my car and explained exactly what it meant and how I could keep check on it without coming in to a shop. They even recommended me a trusted mechanic to take it to to get fixed and were honest that they were unequipt to handle it there. I appreciated their honesty, transparency, and handiness, exactly the reason I was looking to switch shops. I feel prepared to look after the issue myself and know an estimate for cost if I were gonna get the leak fixed. Cheaper to pay in cash but do take card. I will be back again! (:

The shop apparently closes early despite listed time. So bear that in mind if you're rushing to get off work, get a ride, and then try to pick up the only car you have just to come up to a closed building. Otherwise the previous services performed on my vehicle have been fine. Sorry to be so frustrated but Lord have mercy. We called ahead even.

If you live in the area, this place is right on, and sure beats driving into Athens for similar work. You'll want to call ahead and set an appointment, because there's only room in the garage for one vehicle at a time, and so one tech on duty.

They don’t deserve 5 stars. They deserve 10! My old truck was overheating, so I brought it in. My guess was a water pump issue. Hannah greeted me and made me feel right at home while my truck was being worked on. She was personable and delightful to chat with. The mechanic was polite, courteous and extremely knowledgeable. (Apologies. I don’t remember his name but he had dreds) He quickly diagnosed the issue as a relatively minor one, and had me out the door in no time. They didn’t try to sell me something I didn’t need or up charge me. Because they were honest and treated me right at a far price, they now have a loyal customer. All of my vehicles will be taken care of there from now on. In today’s world where auto repair places can be a little suspect, Rick’s Pit Stop is the exception. F
