Wow, what a place this is!! Had no idea it was here as its sorta hidden on a side street off the main road, but what a great find! My 12 yr old Honda mower died, and I could not find anyone that could work on it without almost buying a new one. A guy I happened to meet told me about Ricks, and I tried them out. Three things happened: 1. I met several customer oriented, very competent folks that do what they say they will do, and deliver ahead of the scheduled time 2. They did outstanding work / great results: my old Honda is running like its brand new again 3. They charged a fraction of what everyone else in the area was asking "to just look at it and then decide what to do" and instead delivered a perfectly working mower back to me. Awesome folks! They came in clutch in a pinch for me and were able to fix my recoil starter assembly for my pressure washer in about 5 minutes. They were super awesome about taking it on the fly, and very fair on the cost! Highly recommend!

Brought him my golf cart to help shut off the noise when turning key to on position. He fixed it by completely bypassing the turn off key feature. Because it was disabled my batteries all 8 drained. I brought it back to him to fix again because he drained my batteries. He said I have to buy batteries, he’ll install them. So now, there was no remediation to the original problem. My cart sat in his parking lot untouched, no phone call nothing for approximately 6 months while I tried to figure out how to come up with money to pay him and money for new batteries 8 batteries are a lot of money for me. Long time customer, but had not been in for awhile. I went in with two gas-powered tools (chainsaw and trimmer). Work was completed in three days. The people were friendly and helpful. The work was excellent. One of the tools was not fixable. They had put in 3 hours of work, but did not charge me. The other tool developed a fuel line leak, detected when I picked up the tool. They fixed it satisfactorily without any additional charges, even though the problem was not caused by them. All in all, outstanding work and courteous customer service. Nice to have a reliable small engine repair shop in Niceville-Valparaiso!

Ricks is quick an fast with repairs, have used them several times. They are very friendly and outgoing and prices are fair. They are one of the few an very necessary small engine repair shops and provide a very important service to the community.
