Stopped in to get a tire mounted. Eric was great help and got me fixed up in no time. He had a few good recommendations, and lots of cool bikes to check out.

Like so many of the reviews say, Eric is indeed a lifesaver! Call Roanoke Cycle Sports Inc. FIRST; don't waste your time calling Roanoke or Salem VA dealerships. Great mechanic and a true biker who appreciates what it's like to be stuck on the side of the road on a long ride. It is great to know that shops like this are still out there.

I was on a group ride 5 hours from home when the voltage regulator rectifier failed on my 1996 Honda Magna and fried the battery. I visited several motorcycle stores in Roanoke and nobody had the parts or knowledge to help. Then I found Eric at Roanoke Cycle Sports. Eric wasn’t expecting me as a customer that day, but he dropped everything he was doing to get me back on the road. With a few snipped and soldered wires he modified an older part he had in stock to work on my bike. Eric even let me borrow a few tools to replace it in his parking lot. That afternoon I was able to rejoin the group and continue our trip down the Blue Ridge Parkway instead of having the bike towed home. Eric is a lifesaver. Last morning of a trip riding around W&J National Forest and my bike would not start. After a few hours of troubleshooting on my own I gave in and had it towed to Roanoke Cycle Sports, and boy am I glad I did. Eric dropped everything he was doing to help me diagnose and fix what turned out to be a faulty petcock diaphragm that had allowed my engine to completely flood with gasoline. Eric was a lifesaver and wonderful to work with. We were on a road trip and I ended up getting a flat front tire 2 hrs into our journey. His shop was one of the only places open on a Monday on our route, and luckily had a tire in stock that fit. We also had a great time looking at all the vintage bikes around the shop while we waited.
