Extremely Deceptive and Unethical Practices I am writing this to warn other potential buyers about my experience with this dealership. The day after purchasing my vehicle, while driving on the highway to work, my steering wheel began shaking violently. I immediately contacted my salesman and brought the car back that same day. I was then told to take it to the Mazda store because the vehicle was still under warranty. When I arrived, I was informed that the warranty would not activate for 30 days meaning I would have to pay out of pocket just to have the vehicle inspected. This made absolutely no sense considering I reported the issue less than 24 hours after purchase. Car buying is stressful enough without added complications, and unfortunately our experience with Russ Darrow Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep Ram on Friday, January 9th was extremely disappointing. We found a vehicle listed online at $13,605, which fit both our budget and needs. We scheduled a test drive for Saturday, January 10th at 9:00 a.m. However, late Friday morning we were contacted by a salesperson who indicated there was significant interest in the vehicle and encouraged us to come in that same day to avoid missing out. My husband rearranged his work schedule and drove over an hour to the dealership. After test driving, my husband decided to move forward with the purchase. ON Dec 27th I called and spoke with Joe Hall one of the used car salesman about a 2018 Jeep rubicon they had on there lot. Said it was still available, I was going to be traveling an hour and half , so I wanted to call before wasting my time with the drive if the Jeep had already been sold. As I'm driving down i get a text message that the Jeep won't be ready to test drive, so I called Joe as I was already half way there and ask him if it just had a Dead Battery as these things tend to happen when vehicles set awhile. He told me service was working on it. And I told him that would be okay I'll stop anyway to look at it. As I got there jeep was all set for a test drive service department had to charge the battery. Very negative experience. I live 2 hours away from this location. I found a vehicle online that I wanted to purchase. Due to winter storms, I had asked of the vehicle could be transferred to a location closer to me. I offered to put down a deposit in good faith I would purchase. First the other location told me it was available then it wasn’t. Then I was finally told they would transport the vehicle if I paid an extra $1,700… on top of that Bergstrom offered me $3,900 for a trade in on my vehicle & the Neenah location would only offer me $1,400 for a vehicle that doesn’t even have 100,000 miles on it. CRAZY. This company is very deceptive, and we’re willing to lose a sale in its entirety over it.
