Rust-eez Repair

I brought my truck to Rust-eez Repair in Brookings, SD to have the oil cooler lines replaced, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. Rusty is a really good guy - easy to talk to and clearly knows what he’s doing. He listened to what I needed, didn’t try to upsell anything extra, and got the job done right the first time. Everything was done clean and professional, no surprises on the bill. If you need work done in the Brookings area, I’d definitely recommend Rust-eez Repair. Rusty’s honest, fair, and he will treat you right. I’ll be going back next time I need something fixed.

Affordable service, but sometimes you get what you pay for. Went in to have serpentine belt put on. Guess I should have told him to diagnose why it was squealing. I just assumed it was the belt. Put one on and started squealing again within a day. Took it back and he said it was the idler pully and he charged minimal labor so I figured, no problem. Didn't get even a block away and it started squealing again. I don't have time to keep going back for the same thing to nickel and dime me, but at the same time I use my vehicle for work so it's quite embarrassing driving around. Finally got time to stop by again during business hours but the door was locked. **UPDATE**I see the owner responded with an accusation of using an entire can of belt dressing to get it to stop squealing. I took my vehicle to Rusty to have the water pump replaced. While his prices seemed cheap at first, I ended up paying more in the long run. During the repair, he broke a bolt and, instead of addressing the issue properly, he attempted to silicone it back in place. Not surprisingly, a short time later, a leak formed from that exact spot. I had to go back, have the pump removed again, the silicone cleaned off, and a new bolt properly installed—something that should have been done right the first time. What bothers me most is that he wasn’t upfront about the mistake. If he had told me what happened, I would have understood that things don’t always go perfectly during repairs. Took my truck to have the clutch bleed , he did then told me the noise in the transmission was a bearing. Told me a clutch and flywheel and new bearing would fix it . Did said work was still making the he noise , then tore the transmission out to replace the throw out bearing. Called me said it was done . Picked up still same issue. Then he says it internal and he is not a transmission guy !!!! So now I’m 1600$ into a transmission that wasn’t fixed ! Save ur money go to Ron’s or GT may pay more but they will do it right !

Called them in the morning on my way by Brookings cause I blew air bag on my semi. They got me in right away and I wasn't there long and they had me back on the road. If I ever have trouble in that area again they'll be the first people I call.
