Safelite AutoGlass

Had to reschedule several times, late getting here. Never presented me with a bill just did the work and then try to charge me 1700.00 dollars after they did the work. Mike Dmich a supposed to be manager calls me. Extremely sarcastic and rude knew I was angry and continued to harass me and text me after our phone conversation had ended. Mike Dmich will eventually get Safelite a law suit. It’s a shame this ignorant individual can cause a company a lawsuit.

I have never written a negative review in my life, but I thought it might be helpful to others to share information about how truly awful this particular Safelite installer, based in Elizabeth City, is. They have now missed the last two appointments. No call, only an email stating that Darcy or some other tech will be out to install the windshield. When you call the customer support line, you are dealing with a person that dreads getting calls about the Elizabeth CIty store and provides no insight as to why they ignore these appointments. On the first two occasions of the 4 missed appointments, they wanted to put in an aftermarket windshield into a new vehicle. Just going to slide that on in there. Please, stay away from this place! They charged me for fixing two chips during which they broke the whole windshield $206.49 and then an additional $222.10 for windshield they already replaced in May(!). They keep sending me notifications for schedulled appointments I never scheduled (even today), and when I called them, they said that it is for a windshield replacement, which was replaced in May! Today is July 8, 2024... So they charge me for replacement it happened and I paid them already.

It's actually ZERO stars. I paid over $200 for a windshield repair. The technician didn't have me look at the repair or ask if I was satisfied. I went in the house for about 5 seconds and he just took off leaving the "repair" looking worse than it did before he started. The crack is bigger and branched off. I don't think he knew what he was doing. They won't come out and fix it properly. They said they will only REPLACE the whole windshield and give me credit for what I paid. The total for that will be over $2100. Is this how they get you to pay more, by coming out and making the crack worse??? Don't use this location!

If I could give a zero, I would. My husband's step-dad is elderly and handicapped. A rock hit his truck window and safelite finally came out after numerous reschedules. They replaced the window leaving glass all down in the door. The window was in perfect working condition before they came. Now the window won't roll down. My mother in law keeps calling them and they won't come out to even look at it after stating they would and rescheduling yet again several times stating it's the regulator broken. How do they know! Very poor service!!
