Salvation Army The Eventide Home

My friend has been there for 3 months now and loves the staff and the atmosphere. Her one complaint is often being quarantined to the 3rd floor and the elevator situation. The staff are wonderful considering the smaller spaces and the ancient building. I find everyone there very respectful.

Please don’t put your loved one in here. This is the most disorganized place going. They leave only one person on the floor durning meal times which leaves residence on their own for over an hour. My mother went in for a Respess stay the very first day I found her crying in the hall by herself. The people in charge are horrible. Dads room was 91 degrees this summer. Staff are nice but way overworked. Not a very clean place either. Floors are sticky and dirty. Long story short stay away!

My mom 92yrs old went in wed tested negative for covid but has been put into segregation for 7 days. They want covid tests b4 visits. My disabled daughter is unable to take the test due to severe sensory issues. They won't make accommodations for her they are choosing to discriminate against her.

Worst nursing home ever. Do not put your loved ones here. They have lost my grandmothers teeth 2 times. The 2nd pair were engraved. They say she has no clothing to wear and her closet is full.they do not care about residents at all and leave them in halls just sitting. I have changed my grandmother because they are too busy. They limit her to the amount of briefs she cam have in a day...just disgraceful. Ive seen the psw put her to bed and not even talk or tell her what she is doing. Throw the blanket on her and out the door. All this in less than 8 min. The place is run down and rooms are small. Stay clear of this place. Id give it no stars its so horrible.

My Mother was in Eventide for over 3yrs, the staff took very good care of her. I would go in at different times to see how she was (even after midnight) and I was happy to find her clean. There were times when she had been in her brona(?) wheel chair, and wanted to be put to bed, but, it was better for her to be sitting up. The only problems I had was that there was no mounting for her tv and it was on her night table right beside her head, where her room mate who had a window few had the corner to put hers in. {my mother was in a semi-private room) and there was not a tray beside her bed for her books and drink, so she was dependant on others to help her & at times she said she was parched when I would come in.
