I’ve been coming to San Jose Auto since the early 2000s and they continue to impress me year after year. The space is always updated and welcoming and the team is consistently professional, honest and incredibly informative. The owner, Tomi, goes above and beyond. He’s even helped me consult on purchasing a new car and teaches classes to mechanics so they can stay knowledgeable about the latest technology in new vehicles. That level of expertise is rare. Their prices are very reasonable and I appreciate that they never try to upsell me on things I don’t need. I trust them completely and so do all of my friends. We all bring our cars here. San Jose Auto is truly a gem and the only place I recommend for reliable, trustworthy service.

It feels insufficient to give 5 stars to SanJose Auto Repair. After visiting a Nissan Dealership and an additional shop where nothing could be done I was fortunate enough to have Tomi recommend as a genius in trouble shooting and problem solving, boy that recommendation was life changing. Tomi fixed a complex computer problem within hours where the dealership quoted thousand of dollars to replace parts that were not broken before they could even address the root cause. Josh ensured that I was fully informed of all the issues and quoted reasonable prices before work was done. I hope you take the time to read this and make the truly great decision to patronize this shop. You will be so thankful that you did.

Went to get a vehicle inspection to see the cost of what would be needed for repairs for winter that are needed. An evaluation cost is very low compared to most cost of $100 and up. Very pleased with their mannerism especially Josh and Tommy and the other workers there! As an independent woman they were honest with safety 1st and what is needed now and what can wait!!! They have my business for everything on my car repairs for now and future. Explains everything thoroughly and gave prices on parts and labor cost. Diagnostics from under and above the hood and body. I’m quite happy and satisfied. As yall know it is hard to satisfy an independent woman! Thank you guys at San Jose Automotive!!!

Luckily, I was able to find San Jose Auto repair during a Google Search after several unsuccessful attempts to solve engine light error codes of P0135, P0141 & P0155 in my 1999 Toyota Solara. These codes pertain to the 02 sensor heater circuit and they were all coming on at the same time. I had previously replaced the 02 sensor that is by the Catalytic converter (bank1 sensor2)and installed a refurbished ecm (electronic control module) and I was still getting all three codes. I needed to get this problem solved quickly since my emissions test is in November. I met with Tommy (owner) & Josh (shop manager) in person and explained the situation. Very professional, I used to take my car to oil plus on kimball and peterson which is 5 minutes away from me but the front person started being rude so I started looking for another mechanic shop and seen this one one in Google with 5 star review so I drove 30 minutes to have some work done, once there I was greeted politely told them I needed my engine support change and I had the parts with me, the mechanic said no problem, I was in and out in 45 minutes,fair price,they gave me the old parts, I recommend this shop, will be back.
