Sanchez Tire Shop

Hit or a miss! I’ve been coming to this place for years but as of recent I’m not sure what changed. It’s local and I’ve always come here for air or even tires. I went a few months ago and all I needed was air (that I even pay for I never go thinking I can get free air because I think of it as paying for convenience) they made me wait for the guy in front of me to finish changing a tire. I couldn’t believe it. I said something and was told well the person in front of you was here before you, I said all I’m getting is air in ONE tire. I do feel if a man was with me or if I was a man the outcome would’ve been different. I had to ask the man behind me to back up because I decided not to wait. Sadly, didn’t even realize it was a new tire shop down the other end (going into the county) they gave

Caught a flat a few min away from the shop. As soon as I pulled up the guy came out directed me to pull in and immediately started working on my tire. Super quick service.

They are conveniently located on Baltimore Avenue between SEPTA T-2 trolley line, (formerly known as Route 34) stops at 54th and 55th Streets. The T-2 runs from the 13th Street station in Center City Philadelphia to the Angora Loop station in West PhiladelphiaThe T2 is part of the SEPTA Metro system and connects underground subway lines with street-level trolley service. There is also a store directly next door that has an ATM. The store also serves hot food and cold sandwiches as well.

Philadelphia has the most pot holes I've ever seen in the past few months during 2022 of April-May. Especially along Baltimore Avenue, West Philadelphia and The 76 Expressway. I've caught flat tires on my vehicle at 7 times and had to use many tire shops to help me. Sanchez tire shop along Baltimore Avenue was quick,fast and professional. Their used tires range from $45 and up.

Of course, I would get a flat on I-76 on a Friday late afternoon. I had to wait 2 hours for a tow service to change my tire to the spare. By the time I got home, many tire places near my home were closed, and I had to be at work at 8:00pm. I found Sanchez via a Google search. They told to come despite the fact that they were closing at 7pm. All the employees were friendly, prompt, and efficient. Instead of upselling me, they attempted to plug my tire, but the puncture was too wide and deep. I left with a used tire and at a reasonable price. Although I was running late, I was still as able to get to work, which was a relief. I would definitely use them again. TIP: You'll avoid a small credit card surcharge if you pay with cash.
