Scott's Transmissions

Very poor and misleading experience. I brought my vehicle in for a diagnosis, and at no point was I informed there would be a $165 diagnostic fee. This fee was only disclosed after I said I needed to pick up my vehicle, which felt extremely deceptive. Had this charge been communicated upfront, I would have declined the service and taken my vehicle elsewhere. Instead, I was placed in a situation where I felt pressured to pay an unexpected and unreasonable fee just to retrieve my own car. Clear communication and transparent pricing are basic expectations in auto repair, and unfortunately that was completely lacking here. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that future customers go elsewhere and make sure all fees are clearly agreed to in writing before leaving their vehicle.

Saved me over $5k in repairs. The wife vehicle broke down on I-4W and Trans Fail alarm on dash came on. I got the car towed to Aamco and I was quoted over $6k to replace transmission and intermediate shaft. I decided to get a second opinion and I had the vehicle towed to Scott’s. I got a called the same day to tell me that there’s nothing wrong with the transmission but the Intermediate shaft had to be replaced and transmission needed to be flushed. Repairs were completed and I only had to pay $800. Vehicle has been back on the road for a few weeks now without any issues. Ravi is very friendly and knowledgeable and he even told me over the phone what the problem with the car could possibly be even before I got it towed to his shop. We bought a used vehicle and realized shortly after purchase that it needed a transmission which was under warranty. The dealer we bought it from recommended we take it to Scott's transmission(Who is a friend of his) He told him that we would be stopping. Scotts transmission had the truck for a couple of days, and they told us that there was nothing wrong with the transmission...it was something in the motor. We had numerous vehicles and know what it's like when a transmission is going. Two weeks later, the transmission goes on interstate 4. So, either the dealer told him to tell us, there was nothing wrong with the transmission(which is unethical), or scotts transmission doesn't really have a clue about transmissions. We went to Stewart's in Winter Haven and they had it done in a few day

Horrible service I would give no stars if I could the mechanic told me a price & then doubled the price once he finished the car. There was a problem with my part which led to me repurchasing the part & instead of telling me the part was incorrect he tried it just to double charge me. The mechanic was unapologetic, extremely rude & argumentative, he even slammed the window in our face.
