Jim and his partner are the most honest mechanics I’ve ever taken my vehicle to. My whole family takes their cars to Scotty and Sons. It is a rare gem of an auto shop where you can go in and not get upsold or ripped off and trust that the job is done correctly.

Our go-to car guys. These guys have worked on our van and our truck multiple times. I never ever feel taken advantage of. I always am treated well. We recommend to all of our friends and family. I would never take a vehicle elsewhere. Thanks for taking good care of our cars!

So grateful to have been referred to Scotty and Sons four years ago! I trust Jim and know he does great and honest business. So dependable that despite my moving to Roseville a year ago, I still take my vehicles to him and it well worth the effort. Would recommend Scotty and Sons to anyone and do!

The name of the business is "Scotty and sons auto and smog" and there's a sign right out front that says "state of California licenced smog check" but they don't do smog checks 😡

This is the place to go if you are looking for honest answers and work on your vehicles. Jim is awesome. I've been taking my cars to them since the 90's. I brought them my wife's jeep. I told them I think the starter is going bad and needs replacing. They tested my battery... Jim told me, "it's your battery, it's weak, needs to be replaced soon". They could've easily soaked me for a new battery and starter, like most places would. They have loyal customers because they don't rip you off. They work on all types of cars from the classics to the newest ones. If I could give them 10 stars, I would.
