Shell Harbor Retirement Community

Since becoming Residents of Shell Harbor in October of '24, we've had such great experiences! My wife LOVES ❤️ the No meal planning, NO Cooking & No Clean Up and the kitchen staff & servers are excellent! Meals are always top notch! My wife is now Leading Crafting Classes twice a month & is in her element!! We've made several new friends which is also awesome! I've traveled using the availability of the Guest Suites at two other resorts in Las Vegas!! It was awesome!! Everything went smoothly with no hiccups! There's plenty of great activities to keep us all busy during the week and theme's a strong veterans group here also with great activities!

My mother has been a resident at shell harbor for almost 3 years. She has been very happy in her new home. She has made many new friends and loves the ambiance of shell harbor as well as the staff. The entire staff is very accomadating to the residence needs and always with a smile on their face. They always do their best to fulfill all special requests. When I moved my mom to Florida, I took her to 10 independent living facilities, and shell harbor was the last one she looked at. As soon as she walked in and walked around, she told me this is it. The interior is very inviting and the concierge and activities director decorate to the nines for all holidays and special events. I can mention so many staff by name for their helpfulness and kindness, but I will only name one at this time. M

The new computer system for all of RLC is definitely not an enhancement to daily living in the RLC Communities. It is apparent to us, the residents at Shell Harbor, that there was NO consultation with RLC residents or staff as to what was needed, what worked, what didn't work, what needed to be changed, or what worked fine. Some IT engineers (or group) decided, based on their lack of knowledge and experience living in an RLC community, have made decisions about the new system which do not enhance, but make our daily lives more difficult. For example, we knew on Saturday evening what the next week's movies were, who had birthdays or anniversaries on what day, and we could plan accordingly. Not any longer! ALWAYS solicit input from end users and support staff before designing replacemen

I moved my mother here from another state last year. I went to every single retirement community in Brevard County and Shell Harbor is the best one overall. The apartments are spacious, the facilities are very good. The restaurant provides excellent meals. They have a movie theater, gym, hair salon, and much more. There is always someone at the front desk 24-7. The staff is very friendly and attentive to the residents. They also provide transportation for residents for shopping and appointments. Family members are welcome to dine with their residents for a small fee. My mother loves it and has made lots of friends and it keeps her moving every single day. And by the way they have great ice cream.

We moved in Shell Harbor when it first opened in 2021 and we have never regretted doing so. The facility is beautiful. We have a nice apartment. We feel very safe here. We love the people. Everyone is so friendly; we have met many new friends. The food is good. There are lots of activities, a movie theatre, a pharmacy, fitness center, beauty parlor. We recommend this facility highly.
