Our alternator needed replaced and we had an oil issue. The mechanics at Sherman's Automotive stepped up and fixed our problem quickly. The mechanics are honest and worked with us on payment and didn't charge us an arm and a leg. Lady at the desk was amazing. Everyone is super nice and have positive attitudes. Will go there again. I highly recommend! Edit: At the beginning of December 2024, we got hit by a deer. Sherman's Automotive typically doesn't do body work.. HOWEVER.. they are not afraid of a challenge. Took a week or two to get it fixed.. but it is back and better than ever. Don't take your car to a slum place that will overcharge you, take your vehicle to Sherman's Automotive. Best rates on State Inspection in Elizabethtown. Known for over a decade. Mom and Pop shop with exemplary customer service, trustworthy rates, and wont charge you for a bunch of little things. Knowledgeable and capable staff. There are only 3 good shops in Etown. Keener Tire for alignment, Etown Autoworks for general fix up, and Sherman's for State Inspection. Out of all of them Sherman's is the only one that isn't constantly booked out. They will go above and beyond to help you no matter how desperate your situation. Wayne and his wife are awesome people.

Finding an honest repair shop can be difficult, but Sherman's is fantastic. It's clear that they care about their customers! Their staff are always super friendly, and they've gone above and beyond to help my wife and I with our vehicles. Their prices are very reasonable as well, and they do high-quality work.

I just had my wife's A/C system fixed at Sherman's and they were excellent. They got the vehicle in very quickly (even though I was a new customer) and had it fixed quickly. What I was more impressed with, was after another leak in the system had sprung up, they got the vehicle right back in and fixed it at no charge. He felt he should've caught the problem the first time through. Refreshing to see a business that stands behind the quality of their work! Our new mechanic for sure.

Brought my vehicle in for a diagnostic so I could handle the repairs myself. Every issue they identified was spot on — I fixed them all, and the problems are completely gone. I’ll definitely be bringing my other vehicles here. The team is incredibly knowledgeable and professional. It’s a relief to have a trustworthy mechanic in the community.
