I recently went to scholar with my 2010 toyota rav4 with a check engine light fir an o2 sensor.(read the code with my own reader) Although the staff was friendly, and got to work on my vehicle quickly they way over priced me. The sensor was only abot $115. Well they recommended replacing the other sensor which is just on the exhaust manifold for $1000! Thats right 1k for o2 sensors. I had them do the bad sensor for about $500, and 1k miles later check eng light came back. I replaced the manifold sensor in about 15 mins, and all has been well. These guys arent hacks they just try to nickel and dime you. $16 for shop supplies? What supplies its a sensor you remove, and replace. The hourly labor rate is just way to high here, and id recommend a mom and pop type of mechanic.

My family and I were loyal customers. After today they will never have my money again. Unprofessional and Does not honor appointments made even when they have the vehicle in their possession. For context please read below I made an appt for 8am. I had a something come up and so I dropped the vehicle off at 7am and was able to be back for 9. I go in to check on the status of my vehicle and Jason Roe said they skipped my appt because I dropped the keys off so he said “we assumed we had all day since you dropped your keys off. So we skipped you and moved on. So your going to have to wait.” I had an appt at 11 thats why I made the appt for 8. His response to me reminding him of that was “Yeah your not going to make that. I was visiting from Florida (formerly from here) and I felt a crazy shimmy when braking. Knew exactly where I was going to take my car for service. I was a Pets customer in the past and then continued with Sholar. They got me right in and all fixed up. Now I will have a nice safe trip back to Florida!! Exceptional service from start to finish!! Came there to get a leak fixed and a car diagnosis. They ended up telling me that my engine was leaking in four places valve cover gasket, upper and lower oil pan as well as a crankshaft seal. I came there with a slow leak and after a month or two my low oil pressure light came on. I spent hundreds, getting the car diagnosed and then the valve cover gasket “fixed”. A day or two later, my car is spraying oil profusely in the slow leak turns to a very fast leak. When I came to them saying that I came there with a small problem in love with a bigger problem I was told that it was my oil pan leaking profusely in the valve cover gasket was fixed. Took my 2015 Subaru in for sluggish driving. Almost immediately diagnosed and given an estimate for repairs. Car was done maybe 24 hours later for exactly what the estimate was. Will definitely be a return customer.
