This is a local family business. The dad is older but does good job. They do not work on diesel and sometimes takes awhile. However, they are honest, do good work and don't rip people off. A good local mechanic.

I don't like to dock stars and affect the average rating of a business, but I just wanted to share my recent experience. I was driving through this town heading to New Orleans when my engine light came on beeping and flashing. Upon arriving they were nothing but helpful and friendly and came straight out to look over and test drive my car. I was advised I need my ignition coil replaced. After they stopped for lunch this was completed same day which I was thankful for and was back on the road by 3pm. I was told the problem should be fixed but if the engine light comes back on I should put a fuel injector through it. Obviously hoping the engine light wouldn't come back on after paying $180 for the new ignition coil. However, within 2 hrs of leaving, my engine light came back on and again was

U get what u pay for!! Honest, honest & honest. Silcox is the needle in a haystack!! Excellent mechanic work and they guarantee it. The labor price may be higher than others, but they are worth it. We are very fortunate to have them in our community!!

Excellent service. I was driving through on vacation and my car shut down. We were able to get it to the shop and the owner looked over my vehicle and personally drove me back to my other car I had somewhere else. He worked on my car and gave a fair price. Very honest, would definitely go there again if I had trouble
