SIXT Rent a Car New York LGA Airport

Great service every time I am there! I am always on the lookout for some specialty vehicles, and this location never disappoints. Cars are new, nicely specced, and in a tip-top condition. I will definitely be coming back!

I rented a BMW 5 Series yesterday, paying around $1,100 for 13 days. The next morning, the car already had issues with the tires, and the cabin had a very strong onion smell, making it almost unusable. It was replaced with a BMW X1 which, after just half an hour of driving, developed an engine problem. Then I was given a Mercedes GLA — without a single apology or any gesture of courtesy — and it also seemed to be a lower category vehicle compared to the X1. What disappointed me even more was the attitude of the staff. Instead of showing any understanding for the situation, they seemed irritated and almost angry with me, as if the car problems were somehow my fault. Our experience with Sixt was extremely disappointing. When we picked up the car, the agent casually handed us the keys and said, “The car is on half, so just refuel it to half.” I specifically asked for clarification — to confirm we only needed to return it at half a tank — and the agent agreed. We made sure to return the vehicle slightly over half a tank to avoid any issues. To our surprise, we later received a new invoice charging us $104 for a refueling fee. When I called customer service, the first agent we spoke with was shocked after hearing what happened and transferred us to another department to escalate the issue. Finding the location was a bit tricky at night, but once I arrived, the interior was clean and modern, with a great orange color scheme. The staff was friendly and professional, and check-in took only a short while—though there was a small delay due to a credit-card processing issue. I rented a BMW X5 that was spotless and drove smoothly, aside from minor cosmetic damage from a previous renter. The lot was a little tight and somewhat confusing to exit, especially with cars being washed near the exit. Overall, a positive experience, and I would rent from Sixt again

Staff were friendly and very helpful the whole time, answered all my questions and explain everything with good patience. Price are surprisingly good. I got an upgrade to BMW X2 from RAV4 which was awesome but the car's infotainment screen went down in less than an hour of driving which blocked me from controlling the AC/heat and carplay. The main dashboard was down with it for a while but that did come back a hour later (with a indication that the infotainment is down). The driving itself was very nice, in short, the car drives like a beast! Got a good discount because of screen issue so I would give it a 5 star review because their good attitude to their customers.
