SIXT Rent a Car Raleigh Int. Airport

Even though every staff member were nice and professional, I’m deeply disappointed by the outcome of my experience. The car I was given was unsafe to drive (missing oil cap, oil spilled in the engine, and dangerously uneven tire pressures). Despite clear proof, SIXT refused to take responsibility and only offered a $25 “gesture.” I will never rent from them again and strongly advise others to avoid this company.

In town for a company trip, was checked into and out of 3 cars due to the first two having things like a rip in the seat, broken windshield, not starting, not cleaned. One had a bag of McDonald’s trash on the floor. Was told by the person they were sorry, my rental would be a return at Charlotte. I took pictures of the outside of the car as it had a dent and scuffed rims. Returned the car to the airport in Charlotte which had an AI tunnel to drive thru, got an invoice for 1800 a few days later. I submitted pictures of the damage that was there when I picked it up, they sent it to collections. Our company ended up paying to be done with it. If you do use them spend the money for their own insurance. Otherwise even if you take pictures they will charge you. Makes me wonder who else has paid

Here's a longer version of your review: "1/5 stars - Beware of Sixt Rentals! I was drawn in by their new, flashy look, but it's a total facade. Our rental car kept giving an engine overheating message randomly and then would try to stop the car(on the highway) multiple times while we were in the middle of a 3 hour drive another city, leaving us stranded on the highway with 4 kids. The customer service was appalling - they suggested we drive around on back roads to avoid the highway, and when we asked for assistance, they told us to wait up to 4 hours and possibly pay for the tow. One of the last times it happened, a drive that was supposed to take 15 min took over an hour as we had to drive 20 miles per hour on the highway and stop every 5 mins or so (sometimes on overpasses bc the car wa

We came here for the first time. Personally, I enjoy using Sixt and today the staff was very nice and gave us a nice car for our trip but the car could be a bit cleaner externally.

After a full day of travel chaos with four cancelled flights, picking up our rental at SIXT in Raleigh was the first smooth part of our trip. The staff was helpful, professional, and genuinely kind. Amber, in particular, was amazing. She immediately picked up on how exhausted we were, stayed calm and friendly, and handled everything quickly and efficiently. Her professionalism and positive attitude turned a stressful situation into a great experience. Excellent customer service from start to finish. Huge thanks to Amber and the Raleigh SIXT team—highly recommend.
