I had a great experience renting a car from SIXT at San Francisco International Airport. The staff member who helped me at the counter, Sandy, was extremely friendly, professional, and attentive. She explained everything clearly and carefully, and there were no hidden or extra charges in the contract at all, which I really appreciated. Sandy maintained a very positive attitude throughout the process and greeted me with a warm smile, which made the whole rental experience smooth and stress free. I truly felt well taken care of. By the way, here have no extra costs. Highly recommend this location and especially Sandy for excellent customer service!

I want to share what a genuinely positive experience we had with Sixt at the SFO airport. JP and the pick-up attendants were absolutely wonderful. They were very polite, easy to talk to, and made the whole process feel smooth and welcoming. JP took the time to be conversational, patient, and helpful, and he offered us great options that made us feel taken care of rather than rushed. Customer service like that really stands out when traveling, and it made a big difference in starting our trip on a good note. I rented a Mercedes-Benz GLS450 from Sixt, and the experience raised serious vehicle safety and maintenance concerns. On three different occasions, the car would not shift into drive. The vehicle simply would not switch gears, leaving me stuck and unable to move the car. This is not a minor inconvenience — it is a serious safety hazard. A vehicle that cannot reliably shift into drive should never be rented to customers. On one of these occasions, the issue almost caused me to miss my flight, which added unnecessary stress during travel. For a company renting luxury vehicles, proper inspection and maintenance of cars before rental should be a basic standard. The Sixt company is a bunch of crooks! They literally train their employees to pass on prior damage from past rentals to the next customer. This happened to me twice! Once with my trip from SFO to LAX and again with my rental at their San Salvador location. Unfortunately, I booked both rentals in advance. I would’ve canceled my 2nd booking in El Salvador due to my experience with them in LA with them trying to charge me for damage I didn’t cause, which was curb rash to one of the rims, but I would’ve been charged a fee for that so I took my chances. I didn’t believe they could possibly do the same thing in El Salvador, especially since the SUV I rented was brand new! Turns out there was curb rash just under the passenger side bumper, something you would never see unless you knew it was th

I have no idea where all these positive reviews are coming from. One sentence summary of my experience, followed by a detailed log of the experience. Don’t bother renting here, you’ll likely want to contact the better business bureau afterward. Picked up car, it was a small basic sedan, not as described when I reserved it online. Not 40 minutes later the sidewall of the tire blows out leaving me stranded on the side of the road. I call SIXT for support, and instead of offering to help me, they suggested I change the tire myself to avoid having to pay for the tow truck out of my own pocket. I put the donut spare on, and drive to the nearest SIXT location, an hour out of my way. I explain the situation, and I’m told that the exchange would have to be done back at SFO where I picked up
