SIXT Rent A Car Sarasota Int Airport

I had a very positive experience from the purchase expectation, cashier I was greeted by, and easy to connect with customer service with any issues, or questions. I saw some negative reviews that clearly show a lack of knowledge in the car rental process. They were very upfront during purchase that a credit card was going to be required for a temporary deposit. Deposit for 2025 hybrid Toyota Camry was only $200 I was expecting anywhere from $3-500 so very reasonable. As well with the hybrid Camry we only spent $16 dollars on gas for the week + $275 for the actual rental is a serious bargain in my opinion. Next time we rent we will absolutely use them again! Cars are within 2 min walking distance from the cashier and if you have any issues they will send someone to help within 5 minutes. Sp

We had a confirmed Sixt reservation at Sarasota Airport (SRQ) on December 26, 2025 (Confirmation #9728757513). Because our flight was delayed, I proactively called Sixt and was explicitly told the location would remain open late to accommodate our arrival. When we arrived just after midnight, the Sixt counter was closed with no staff available, despite that assurance. We were left stranded with no assistance. A mother and daughter stranded in the middle of the night at the Sarasota/Bradenton Airport thanks to SIXT car rental! That’s what we experienced on January 6, 2026. Our Allegiant flight was delayed by more than 6 hours, so I called an agent to have our flight number added to our car rental so that we would be “guaranteed” to have someone at SIXT wait for us to arrive or provide a means for car pickup. We were charged $120 for this addition to our original reservation of $230. We arrived at the airport around 2:30 am with no SIXT employee anywhere and no alternate means for pick up of our car. Had a fantastic rental experience with SIXT at SRQ airport. The agents were so helpful and there was no wait. I was pulling out of the airport while other people on my flight were still in the other companies' lines. Roadside assistance was also great. I called in twice on an issue and the ladies on the phone were very helpful. Will use SIXT whenever possible!

Don’t not rent from this car rental company. The airlines 2 weeks out changed fights and arrive time was 11:50 pm . This coming closes at midnight and would not let allow alternative arrangements for pickup. My wife was already in Sarasota but refused to let her pick up the rental . They would not allow a refund, even though it was 2 weeks in advance of rental date.STAY AWAY FROM THIS RENTAL COMPANY. THERE ARE SEVERAL ALTERNATIVES CAR RENTAL COMPANIES THAT ARE CONSUMER Friendly.👎🙏
