The car was very new and full of modern technology, which made our trip much more comfortable and enjoyable. When we picked up the car, he even came out from the service counter to check on us personally. He showed us the basic operations, asked if we had any difficulties, and made sure we felt comfortable before leaving. He patiently explained the features, including the pros and cons, and adjusted everything based on our needs. He could also speak some basic Chinese, which made communication easier. Rene is truly a warm, enthusiastic, and friendly person. His excellent service made a big difference in our experience. Thank you again!
August, 2025 rented a standard elite SUV (7 seater), got the option to choose between a Hyundai Santa Fe or Toyota Highlander. I went with the Santa Fe since it’s a newer model. I was not asked for a paid or free upgrade. The car was clean, well-maintained and drives great with 37k miles on the odometer and minor exterior scratches. The check-in was smooth, no line on a Friday evening. Make sure to check in using the sixt app first. The return was easy and fast too, just drive-up and hand over the keys. It’s highly recommended to get their cheapest available insurance that covers the car so they don’t give you a hard time on minor scratches or damages. Exercise extreme caution before renting from Sixt at Sea Tac Airport. Two days after returning the vehicle I received an email stating that I caused damage to the front driver side wheel cover. “Aluminium rim front Driver side scratch > 10 cm (down to primer).” Three pictures were included without date and timestamps. This damage did not occur during my rental period. They sent me a fraudulent claim. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB, FTC and the Port of Seattle. I will not be doing future business with Sixt nor can I recommend them to anyone. Update 12/18/25: I received an official claim from Sixt demanding that I remit payment for $566.00 for the wheel damage. I was given eight business days to pay or the claim will go to collection. DO NOT BOOK FROM SIXT. I rented a car from them because they had much lower rates compared to other rentals and now I know why. When I returned the car, they faked a damage report stating that there's a "10cm+ scratch down to the primer". They then sent me a damage claim of $2090.63 and tried to scare me into paying by saying it will go to collections if not paid in 2 weeks. They only sent me 2 photos circling the area where the scratch is located. NOT A SINGLE DEEP SCRATCH TO BE FOUND. Looks more like swirl mark from bad car washing techniques. There was also a class action lawsuit recently where Sixt settled to pay 11.07 million dollars for this exact scam they've been doing for over 10 years! Outstanding, cheerful customer service at the front desk and pick up/drop off area with no line compared to Enterprise and Avis. Can’t beat the price for the quality of service and product. Seamless process and transparent pricing with no gimmicks or overly aggressive salespeople that are trying to pull a fast one concerning vehicle coverage and liability. Truly honest, courteous work. Appreciated the upgrade, selection of vehicles, cleanliness, and the various categories from compact sedan to luxury BMWs & Mercedes.
