Sky Road Rent A Car

Pros: We appreciated having a Voyage vehicle for a day trip to the north side of Oahu. The vehicle drove great and we felt safe being in it while driving on the island for the first time. Cons: It took 1½ hours to finally get into our vehicle before we could leave the parking ramp. Voyage would do well to reevaluate their procedures and strive to streamline the renting process. We ordered a compact car and paid extra for a GPS. There was only one representative at the rent desk. There was quite a line of people there to rent a car. Once we got through the line, we headed for the 8th floor to have delivery of our car. When we finally got the car we realized there was no GPS. After letting the lot person know, she immediately got on the phone with the office to resolve the problem. Apparent

CAR RENTERS BEWARE. This company did not return the deposit of $200 the rental agent said would be just a hold on my credit card. I contacted them via WhatsApp and the person replied I would get it back in 10 business days. No response now and no refund. Contacted via email with no response. I had returned the car on time and damaged free. I purchased the all-inclusive package so everything was included. Reported to my credit card company and since I put my card into their machine and authorized the deposit I had to deal with the vendor. Their voicemail is full, silent on WhatsApp and no response to email. Also when I returned the car the lot attendant said I would receive a receipt via email and I did not receive this. Here are a few things to know... 1) Their rating is so good because they ask you to leave a review at the time of drop off. They specifically ask for a 5-star rating and to mention the employees by name. We declined. 2) Have your proof of insurance when you pick up the car. Otherwise, you'll pay the fee to add their insurance. You could end up paying double what you were quoted on the website. And honestly, it's just a hustle -- I showed the girl my policy and she scrolled through, she didn't even know what she was looking for. Luckily, she let it go and we didn't have to pay. Usually with a rental company, they ask you for your policy number and the deductible amount, and that's it. 3) They place a $200 hold on your credit card in addition to the rental fee. My husband rented a car for one night to drive across the island and whole rental and return process was seamless. The kiosk was very conveniently located inside the mall. Great deal and very helpful crew, especially Levi was very nice and friendly. If we need another rental we’ll definitely be back.
