Slate Towing & Performance

My experience with Slate Towing/ 1-70 towing was deeply concerning from a professional standpoint. I attempted to retrieve personal belongings from a vehicle in their possession. I was initially informed that with written authorization I would be able to access those items. After arriving in person, that information was reversed and I was told nothing could be released without full payment of the tow bill, but since I wasn’t the owner of the vehicle I could not take the vehicle off the property once the full tow bill was paid. When addressing the matter with Chad, one of the owners, the interaction was dismissive and unprofessional. I totaled my car and it was towed to this lot. When they towed it to my house the driver pushed my car into the garage and damaged it. They took pictures and then asked if I was “pissed off or not” while insisting the issue would be resolved. We still have a big dent in our garage with no update. Would’ve loved to have even had some towing fee shaved off but was never offered. I warn you if it is possible to avoid do not use them for towing. P.S. they also operate under the name I-70 towing so be aware! 🫡

Tire fell off our truck as we were towing a trailer. They were very quick to get us out of the middle of the highway. Very quick to load the truck and haul the trailer to rite where we wanted. Will use them anytime we need to service in the area.

I do not remember the tow truck driver's name, However, he was very professional and got to us very quickly. The driver took extra care of my 1963 Pontiac Star Chief and everything was perfect.

Cpd called for a wrecker, and I didn’t get a regular tow truck driver like usual. I got a neighbor from our community. I appreciate your services sir, please be safe of the road!!
