Smith Auto Parts (Fresno)

We bought an alternator today and it was broken upon going to install it. We paid 290 bucks for that. Now we can’t get to work and they are closed tomorrow. How is this right? The guy on the phone also got me said it was 205 and when we returned the old one we would get 61 back. However when we got there he said 288 or something and when I questioned it they said when I get the 60 back it will be 205. I said let’s just pay cause I didn’t want to go somewhere else even though I had found cheaper someone was already coming to install it. This isn’t okay and we better get a refund.

So I went to smith auto parts on blackstone in Fresno 2 days ago looking for some brake pads and rotors for my truck. They only had the pads so I had to place an order for the rotors. I went in and picked them up the next day. After I got to my mechanic and after he had my truck up in the air and all taken apart we found out that smith had given me the wrong pads for my rotors. So now I was stuck at the mechanic with no ride because my wife and kids were at work. So I called Smith Auto parts and explained the situation to them and they said that they would send a driver out to me with the correct parts, cool. I was only 5 miles away so it should have only taken 11 min. They had me waiting 1 hr and 45 min! I will never go back there again and I don’t recommend any of you to go there either

I like getting my parts here. The staff are friendly and helpful. I can get tips and suggestions about my projects, or just some friendly talk about what im working on. I can get oem parts fast and at a decent price. Not as cheap as some other places, but also not as cheap. They've got high quality stuff that lasts. I once made a mistake on an installation and they exchanged the part for me anyway.

Best auto repair shop in town! Amazing customer service. Gentleman running repair shop in the back was friendly and professional and was able to resurface my aluminum flywheel for $40 while rude service at Quality Transmission was trying to charge me $75 for the same exact service! Highly recommend this place to anyone needing auto repair work done.
