Smog Star Express - STAR Test Only Station

Bought a brand new Ram 2500 Longhorn Limited out of state so needed a smog. When I went on the internet to search a smog place I came across this Star Smog and liked that it was not a small space and easy to drive in. Many have the smog area where you can barely open the door when in the narrow smog bay. So being meticulous I drove over and checked the place out and spoke with the smog tech. Not sure if he was the owner but I explained how meticulous I was and he was so nice and respected the fact that I was worried and explained to me that I could open and close the hood as on my wife's car at another place the fellow put two hand dents from closing the hood. So went back and got my new truck and had a smog done. I could not be happier. I will be back when our other vehicles need a smog.

Ive got my NSX smogged here for the past almost 6 years, by I think the same tech mostly. Maybe one year I remember a different tech helping me but still at this station. This last week I was helped by someone new and I was turned away. I called in on 10/27 at 6:11PM I was at the shop by 6:35.I was told to come down, I arrived and before I could park he ran out of the office to meet me,when he saw the car he told me “aw man” & sorry they cant do my exotic car. I did not argue.I just left.Assuming other techs will be back, I will return to try again and change my rating.Thank you ! Been coming to this place for years so I was a bit disappointed by our experience today. Walked up and let them know that my oil light was on but I had just changed it and had forgotten to reset it (probably not necessary but thought I’d mention it) the guy told me he didn’t know how to reset it which was totally fine I wasn’t expecting him to and I told him that, then he decided to just blank stare at me. My husband pulled up in his car to wait with me since we had errands to run after and one other car pulled up after as well and when it was my turn he went to the last car and told him to pull up and looked at me and said that he now has an appointment that just pulled up, looks at my husband, and told him to pull to the next garage…. My husband said, that’s ok I’m not here for a smog. S

Fast, friendly & efficient, Chris is the best!!. Even though he was working alone, he was able to get my smog completed in less than 10 minutes. He also provided me a copy of the cert info that was sent electronically to the DMV. I'll definitely use this location for all of my smog needs in the future. Thank you Chris!!
