Roland has been a dear friend of the Penley Clan since he opened the doors of Smokey Mountain Auto Services. He and his team have help GranLloyd with farm trucks, tractors, and even lawn mowers. Pretty much everyone we know in Candler has used Roland over the past 40 years. Great people! great service! 100% good folks.

Excellent auto repair shop, with heart! I was from out of town, traveling thru the area late at night when my car experienced trouble and overheated. Thankfully, I was near an exit with a hotel, and I began looking for a mechanic. This shop was amazingly near the hotel, so I called them as soon as they opened up. Even though they were booked out a month, they fit me in and had me back on the road that same day.They did excellent work at a reasonable price, and everyone there was so kind! The world needs more businesses and people like this, and I am forever grateful to all of the fine people at Smokey Mtn Auto Service!

I pulled in at 5:00 PM the day before Christmas Eve with a completely dead alternator, fully expecting bad news. Instead, these gentlemen went above and beyond in every possible way. They stayed late, got my car fixed, and truly saved the day. I had my two kids with me, who were scared we were going to be stuck right before Christmas. I was literally crying in the parking lot out of pure gratitude while they worked without hesitation. Their kindness, professionalism, and compassion meant more to me than I can put into words. This wasn’t just great auto service — it was genuinely good people helping a family when we needed it most.
